Founded in 1985

South Tacoma Glass opened up as a small shop on South Tacoma Way with one truck and two employees, focusing solely on auto glass. Our goal was to become the best glass and window company in Pierce County. Within a few years, we grew and expanded our services beyond Pierce County to cover the entire Puget Sound region.

1992

Service Expansions

In 1992, we broadened our products and services to include additional automotive glass enhancements, such as window tinting. During this time, we also began offering services for residential glass and windows.

2000

2011

In the fall of 2011, we expanded our window servicing and replacement expertise to include the multi-family housing sector.

2024

In 2000, we expanded our services by offering residential window and door replacements. We built strong partnerships with local utility companies like Puget Sound Energy and Tacoma Power to help homeowners access valuable rebates.

A New Name

In 2024, we rebranded as ST Glass & Window Specialists to reflect our diverse expertise in residential, commercial, and automotive glass solutions across the entire Puget Sound.

With over 21 years in the home services industry, I am committed to providing every customer with an exceptional experience. I understand that when people reach out, they often face challenges, and I see it as my responsibility not only to resolve their issues but to make the entire process as smooth and positive as possible.
Outside of work, I enjoy camping, hiking, and spending quality time with my wife and three children. I believe that maintaining a balanced life fuels my passion for helping others, and I bring that same energy into every customer interaction.

My journey in the glass industry started at 16 when I biked to a glass shop in Puyallup after school. That was 51 years ago, and my passion for this craft has only grown. By age 21, I was managing a shop. After eight years, I took the leap to start my own company. For 40 years, I successfully ran South Tacoma Glass, supporting my family while building a business I’m proud of.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, restoring classic cars, and camping with friends. I look forward to continuing to share my passion for glass with our clients and community.

Jerod Pierce

Operations Manager

With nearly a decade in the construction and trades industry—recently specializing in windows, doors, and glass—I bring a solutions-first mindset to my role as Operations Manager. I’m focused on efficient, high-quality projects and take pride in supporting crews, solving challenges, and earning customer trust. I’m driven by building things that last—teams, installs, and client relationships.
Outside of work, I enjoy endurance challenges like hiking Mount Rainier, completing a 70.3 Ironman, and biking from Seattle to Portland. I also love spending time with my wife, Asasia, and our daughters, Penelope and Cora.
